Am I too old for orthodontic treatment?
Absolutely not ! In fact , I in 5 orthodontic patients are adults. If your gums and bone structures are healthy, jaw and tooth alignment problems can be improved at any age. Orthodontic treatment later in life can dramatically improve your personal appearance and self-esteem.
What are the benefits of having braces as an adult?
Orthodontics treatment can help develop proper form and function of your bite. This will result in improved health of your teeth and gums. Additionally, treatment will minimize unwanted wear on your teeth and help reduce jaw problems or pain, such as TMJ/TMD.
Will I have to wear metal braces?
There are several options for you based on your treatment plan. During your initial examination, we will determine the best possible treatment for your needs. Your choices may include clear brackets, Invisalign® (clear aligners) and our newest technology the Damon® System Braces. The Damon® System is the latest technology of braces that has the ability of providing faster treatment time in most cases. Treatment with the Damon® System has proven effectiveness with fewer office visits while providing greater comfort without tightening.
What can expect during my initial visit?
During your initial examination, we will decide the best possible treatment options for your individual needs. We will provide you with an expected treatment time and cost. It is our goal to explain all aspects of your treatment and answer any of your questions. In many cases, we can start your orthodontic treatment on the same day!
